KEEPING CURRENT

The world of college admissions is constantly changing, with everything from dramatic shifts in testing requirements to trends in acceptance rates and merit aid and new and innovative programs at specific colleges. This, coupled with an overabundance of information, including misinformation, can and does add to the stress of an already stressful process. That’s why I spend countless hours seeking out the facts, so I can interpret, synthesize, and distill information in meaningful ways for my students and families.

UC EXPERTISE

Every fall, I attend the UC Counselor Conference and absorb a tremendous amount of information directly from UC admissions officers, staff, and university representatives from all nine campuses. With first-hand insights into UC policies and programs, campus admission trends and data, admission requirements and evaluation, and insights into UC’s comprehensive review process in evaluating applicants, I can expertly advise and guide students applying to the UCs.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Along with endless reading I do in the space of higher education, I’m a self-proclaimed podcast junkie and love visiting and touring college campuses to learn about the wide array of options available to incoming students. And as a member of several national and international college professional and networking organizations, I have access to resources and can call upon colleagues with a wide range of knowledge and experience for additional insights, perspectives, and advice. With over 3,000 institutions of higher learning just in the US, I’m always learning.

What that means for my students and families is I do the research and analysis, so you don't have to!
